  • Notes
    • Pierre Doucet, son of Jean and Madeleine Theriault was deported to Southampton, England. At the end of the Seven Year's War, he was allowed to return to France. He went to St. Servan, to St. Malo, and then to Belle Isle en Mer. To prove that he was French in order to receive land from the King of France, he had to make a testament. (Copies of these testaments, called the Rochette Papers are to be found at the University of Moncton, NB) In these papers, Pierre declared that he was the son of Jean Doucet and that he had a brother, Paul born in 1746 who lived in Miramachi, NB and Cape Breton, NS
