This issue is devoted to changes in the Association’s Constitution and By-Laws made necessary because our current ones require Association business to be conducted during Reunions.The Board of Directors has developed and adopted changes that will allow us to conduct business either at a physical meeting or by meeting electronically. The newsletter summarizes those changes and explains the need for them and how they would work. You can download the full text of the documents at VioletteRegistry.com/constitution-bylaws. The text of the documents being replaced can also be seen there.

To become official, these changes must be accepted by our members. The Board proposes that since we don’t have a Reunion coming up the rules be suspended and you be allowed to vote either by mail or electronically. The full text of the motion before us is:

Shall the Association suspend the requirement of voting only at a Business Meeting held at a Reunion and vote to approve the changes to the Association’s Constitution and By-Laws as proposed by the Board of Directors?

It will require a two-thirds majority of those voting on the issue to pass.
