Membership in the Violette Family Association is open to anyone who is descendant of Francois Violet, even if your surname is not Violette. Spouses and children are also eligible for membership. You can see a brief history of François on our Welcome Page.

You will need your Person ID (from Family Tree) or RIN (the numeric portion of the Person ID) to apply for membership. If you do not know your Person ID, enter your first and last name and click the Find My Person ID button or go to Genealogy/FamilyTree and do a search for your name. In either case, use your maiden name if you have one. Once you have your Person ID come back here to complete the application form. If you do not find your Person ID contact Peter R. Violette (VFA #1793), our Genealogist, and provide him info so he can add you to the family tree. His contact info is in the footer of this and every page.

You will receive an email with your temporary application number. Your submitted application will be reviewed and you will be notified by email of your status. When approved, you will receive your actual VFA # - your membership number in the Association. The email notifiying you of approval will also include a link for you to add information to your Member Profile. You will be given a Username and Password at that time to use for future logins.
