    His name is Joseph, Albani Violette on his marriage certificate.
    Also known as the infamous "Joe Walnut". Albenie was a Hotel owner, see When Rum was King by B. J. Grant, Fiddlehead Poetry Books, 1984. He was the owner of Hotel Violette which burned in 1914. He then bought Hotel Bellefleur and called it Brunswick. He owned the Hammond Hotel in Van Buren, Maine. He was also owner of a brickyard, a mill, the Saint-Léonard Woodworking Factory and the Imperial Oil garage in addition to having a Ford dealership. He had a house and properties in West Palm Beach, Florida and took trips to Europe, the two Americas and the West Indies. He owned several hunting and fishing camps in Quebec, New Brunswick and Maine, but his favorite was the Summit near Juniper, New Brunswick. He was an importer, among others, of Cuban cigars and silks. He owned a yacht and several ships of which the Oaklee and the schooner Grace and Lou were used to transport merchandise from the Saint-Pierre and Miquelon Islands or Jamaica.
