    It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mr. Philip Violette.
    Died at the Edmundston Regional Hospital on October 26, 2019, at the age of 78, he was the husband of Mrs. Pauline Corbin and lived in Edmundston.

    Besides his wife, he is survived by his children: Michel (Johanne) from Edmundston, Françoise (Guy Ouellet) from St-Hilaire, Daniel (Diane) from St-Basile, Luc (Anne Dionne) from St-Jacques, Chantal (Erik Nielsen) of Fredericton, his grandchildren: Christian, Dean, François, Marc, Anne-Marie, Robin, Karine, Julie, Maria, Jose Juan, Max, his great-grandchildren: Viviane, Eveline, Violette. He also leaves a brother Robert (Sylvia) of Grand Falls and a sister Rachel Clair (James) of Fredericton. He now rests with his parents Mr. Wilfrid Violette and Mrs. Cécile Michaud as well as his brother Joël.

    Mr. Violette was the founder of Violette Motors Ltée.

    The funeral of Mr. Philip Violette will take place at 11 a.m., Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at Notre-Dame-des-Sept-Douleurs church in Edmundston, with interment in the parish cemetery.

    At the Falls Villa (Grand Falls Manor), January 30, 2011, Mrs. Cecile Violette of Saint-Leonard passed away at the age of 95. She was the wife of the late Wilfred H. Violette. Born at Van Buren, Maine in 1915, she was a daughter of the late Philippe and Laura (Cormier) Michaud.

    Mrs. Violette was a member of the Saint-Leonard Daughters of Isabella and of the Saint-Leonard Golden Age Club. She and her husband owned and operated several Ford/Mercury dealerships for several years while also operating the family farm.

    She is survived by three children, Philip (Pauline) of Edmundston, Robert (Sylvia) of Grand Falls, Rachel Clair (James) of Fredericton, 11 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one son, Joel, two brothers, Harvey Michaud and Rev. Lawrence Michaud and one sister, Irene Belanger.

    Her funeral service was held Wednesday, February 2nd at 11 a.m. from the Saint-Leonard Roman Catholic Church with Father Roland Poitras officiating, assisted by Fathers Lucien Levesque, Bertrand Ouellet and Frederic Poitras. The pallbearers were Gilles Clair, Greg Violette, Michel Violette, Luc Violette, Daniel Violette and Terry Toner. Interment was in the adjoining cemetery. An honour guard was formed by members of the Daughters of Isabella.

    Arrangements were by O'Regan's Funeral Home Ltd.
