10098 | Jimmy Violette, age 72, of Yakima, Washington, passed away on April 6, 2024, in Yakima. Jimmy was born in Toppenish, Washington on March 3rd, 1952, to Louis and Doris Violette, where they farmed for many years. In the early 70's Jimmy moved to the Selah/Yakima area where his first 2 children were born. Jimmy started in the construction industry in the early 80's working alongside of his brother. In 2005, Jim purchased ABC Seamless Siding and Gutters from his brother, which he continued operating until the time of his passing. Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents Louis and Doris Violette and 2 brothers. Those left to cherish and honor the memory of Jim is his wife of 33 years Rebecca (Becky); his children Nichole, Bryce, Wendy and Jeffrey. As well as his beloved fur baby Charlie, all who adore him. Jim is further survived by his brother Jerry (Ronda) Violette; his sisters Rose (Richard) Hauck, Sharon Parris and Irene (Rich) McConley; his grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Susan Grant and Debra Harrington; as well as many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Jim will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at 10:00 am at Valley Hills Funeral Home in Yakima, Washington. [Lazowski] Violette, 80, of Lawrence, Massachusetts passed away on April 25, 2024, of critical medical issues, a cross she suffered and endured through most of her adult life with courage by the grace of God. Joanna was born to Polish parents, Anthony Lazowski and Hedwig Tekieniewska of Brooklyn, N.Y. on December 11, 1943. Joanna was a schoolteacher at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel School in Methuen MA. In 1977, she married James J. Violette, a teacher at Greater Lawrence Technical School in Andover MA. Joanna was a joyful and giving person who loved traveling in her younger adult years. She especially enjoyed traveling on road trips to visit family. She was an avid reader and loved spending time with her husband. She had a degree in language arts. She enjoyed painting. She is survived by her husband, James Violette of Lawrence. She was predeceased by her brothers, Thaddeaus (Ted), Edward (Ed), Anthony F. (Antek) Lazowski and her sisters, Teresa Gorski and Maryanna Nikodem. She is survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Joanna is and always will be the love of her husband Jame's life – she was a precious gift from God. Please pray for Joanna, that by God's loving mercy she now resides with God in a better place without pain and with eternal happiness. Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral Mass on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at 10:00 am at St. Augustine Church, 43 Essex St., Andover. Burial will follow in St. Augustine Cemetery. 10100 | John D. Cyr, 76, of Bristol, husband of Rella (Violette) Cyr, died Monday, July 7, 2008, at Sheriden Woods Health Care Center. Mr. Cyr was born May 7, 1932, in Van Buren, Maine and was a son of the late John B. and Yvonne (Cyr) Cyr. He was employed in the steel industry for more than 48 years before his retirement. Mr. Cyr was a member of St. Ann Church, Bristol, he was a third-degree member of the Knights of Columbus and an avid motorcycle enthusiast. In addition to his wife, Mr. Cyr is survived by two sons, John E. Cyr and Lloyd D. Cyr, both of Bristol; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Cynthia Cyr and Phyllis and Daniel Provenzano, all of Bristol and Roxane Cyr and Michael Theriault of Knoxville, Tenn.; three sisters, Janet Radke of Florida, Shirley Cyr of Massachusetts and Jeanne LaPlante of New Hampshire; 10 grandchildren, Autumn Cyr, Vincent and Dianne Provenzano, Ashley Anderson, Sean, Jessica and Christopher VanAlstyne and Lisa, Mollie and John Cyr; three great-grandchildren, Logan Contos and Noah and Amber VanAlstyne; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter, Dianne Cyr, and two sisters, Pauline Hines and Joanne LaPlante. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 10, 2008, 11 a.m., at Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol.
