He was the husband of the late Yvette Damboise by first marriage and of Nicole Desjardins by second marriage. Born at Sainte-Anne-de-Madawaska in 1941, he was a son of the late Romain and Eveline (Michaud) Violette. He is survived by his wife, daughter Sandy Violette-Norman (Edward) of Southington, CT, son Gary Violette (Tracy) of Terryville, CT, step-children, Bernard Lavoie (Julie), Daniel Lavoie (Tina) and Martine St-Amand (Guillaume) of St-Leonard-Parent and Claude Lavoie (Micheline) of Moncton, four grandchildren, eight step-grandchildren, seven step-great grandchildren, his mother-in-law, Marielle Daigle of Edmundston, brothers and sisters, Robert (Diane) of The Village, FL, Huguette Jackson (John) of Milford, ME, Marcel (Dorianne) of New Lemrick, ME, Madeleine Morin (Pierre) of Grand Falls, Valmont (Lili) of Bristol, CT, Leonard (Linda) of Saint-Andre and Linda Damboise (Gerard) of Grand Falls, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Adolphe "Ti-Bi" Poirier. 10227 | Laurette Violette 1918-2008 Laurette VioletteAt Saint-Quentin, June 7, 2008, Mrs. Laurette (Thibodeau) Violette of Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes passed away at the age of 90 years. She was the wife of the late Patrick Violette. Born at Sainte-Anne-de-Madawaska in 1918, she was a daughter of the late Georges and Marie (Violette) Thibodeau. Mrs. Violette was a founding member of the Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes Caisse Populaire, now known as the Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes branch of the Caisse Populaire La Vallée. She was also an honorary member of the "Mouvement des femmes chrétiennes de Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes." She is survived by her children, Gaetane (Leonard Dionne) of Connecticut, Anne Violette and Yolande Violette (Laurent Cayouette) of Saint-Quentin, Marie-Reine (Rosaire Ruest) of St-Jacques, Leola Violette of Moncton, Daniel (Realdine) of Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes and Marguerite (Robert Cormier) of Saint-Leonard-Parent, 13 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, brothers and sisters, Edburdge of New Hampshire, Condy (Pat), Alban (Carmen) and Aurele (friend Pauline) of Maine, as well as nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers and sisters, Adelaide, Cecile, Alyre and Robert. Her funeral was held Saturday, June 14th at 11 a.m. from the Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, with Father Roland Poitras officiating. The pallbearers were Jean-Claude Ruest, Gerald Voisine, Conrad Dionne, Francois Violette, Robert Violette and David Dionne. Interment was in the adjoining cemetery. 10240 | LEWISTON – It is with heavy hearts that we announce the death of Nancy Violette who passed away after a brief period of declining health at Central Maine Medical Center on July 4, 2021. Nancy had been a resident at Clover Healthcare in Auburn for the last year. Nancy was born to Muriel and Lionel Violette on Sept. 6, 1950. Nancy had been a member of St. Patrick’s Parrish and was educated in Lewiston Maine. For a period of time, she was employed by Pathway’s Sheltered Workshop for adults with disabilities. Nancy had a gift for giving and receiving love. She was an exceptionally good hugger. To know her was to love her. Nancy loved feeding the birds from her window bird-feeder and birdwatching. She especially loved cardinals. She was an avid lover of all animals and all things feline. Nancy enjoyed watching 1960s western movies and was a huge fan on Elvis. She enjoyed trips down to Foxwood’s Casino and playing the slot machines. She was predeceased by her father, Lionel Violette; brother, David Violette, and brother-in-law, Stephen Couture. She is survived by her mother, Muriel Violette; sisters, Ann and Susan Violette; niece, Sarah Couture and dog niece, Jezebel. A huge void will be left in the lives of those who loved her. Visitation will be held at The Fortin Group 70 Horton St. Lewiston on Saturday July 17, 2021, between 8:30-10:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Family Church at 11 a.m. Arrangements are under the care and direction of The Fortin Group 70 Horton st.
