10733 | Mary A. Mary A. Violette, 58, of Cape Coral, FL passed away on Sunday (March 7, 1999). She was employed by the Lee County Sheriffs Department for over ten years. Mary is survived by her two daughters and their husbands, Cynthia and Kurt Shuler, and Lori and Michael Jacobs; her son, Lome her sister, Debbie Martindale; and her step-father George Gerrick. She is survived by her granddaughter, Danielle; grandsons, David, Scott and Joshua; many nieces and nephews; and extended family. She will always be remembered for her humor, loving kindnesses and her love of Jesus. She was predeceased by a daughter, Sharon. | St. Pierre, Mary Ann (P9821)

10734 | Mary Violette, 96, passed into her 5th day on July 30, 2023, at a Van Buren healthcare facility, following a short illness. She was born August 18, 1926, in Golden, BC, Canada, a daughter of the late Hilaire and Helene (Mercier) Soucy and raised in the Keegan area of Van Buren. Mary was a devout parishioner of St. Bruno-St. Remi Church, Van Buren, where she was also a life member of the Daughters of Isabella (past Regent), the Third Order of Mary and the Columbiettes. She proudly lived her Cursillo and continued to assist with many Cursillo events over the years. Mary was a lifetime member of the American Legion Auxiliary and a member of the former Van Buren Lioness Club. She loved playing BINGO and cards late into the evening but moreover Mary loved seeing her family and many friends from near and far. She is survived by ten children, Evelyn Garrick (Marvin), Don Violette, Jan Seger (Chuck), Harold Violette (Maria), Albert Violette (Paula), John Violette (Karen), Gilbert Violette, Joan Ouellette (Ivan), Emily Beaulieu (Bert), and Ron Violette (Suzanne); 30 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Mary was predeceased by her beloved husband of 46 years, Emile Violette, in 1993; and three siblings, Telesphore Soucy, Adeline Madore, and Maurice Soucy; and two daughters-in-law Pat and Cheryl.
