11181 Priscilla M. Violette, 96, passed away Saturday, September 4, 2021, at a Presque Isle hospital, following a short period of declining health. She was born November 9, 1924 in Van Buren, a daughter of the late Albert and Rosette (Helsly) Franck.

She last worked at the local Van Buren schools as and Ed Tech, for over ten years, and was a private English tutor for second-language students. She adored playing the piano for her family and friends and continued to play into her older years. She loved feeding people and always had something to serve, especially her renowned baked and chocolate goodies. She was a loving mother and grandmother who loved to support her husband, children, and family through all their endeavors.

She is survived by: five children, Gail Hinkley and her husband Dick of Augusta, Timothy Violette and his wife Cindy of Santa Clarita, CA, Daniel Violette and his husband Russell Gamble of Rancho Mirage, CA, Patricia Morrow and her husband Leigh of Arundel, and Monique Violette of Falmouth; a sister, Jeannine Desjardins of Topsham; seven grandchildren, Aaron, Kate, Brandon, Alex, Justin, Lindsay & Andrew; three great grandchildren, Jaiden, Leelu & Lyra; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Priscilla was predeceased by her beloved husband of over 52 years, Martin Violette in 1998, five siblings, Carmen Ryan, Rose Marie Pierce, Patrick Franck, Claude Franck, and Roger Franck, and infant sister Lorraine.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church, Van Buren. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Arrangements are a service of Lajoie Funeral Home, 118 High St., Van Buren.
