Florence Violette Hartt, 86 of Fredericksburg, Virginia passed away on Sunday, November 27, 2016 at her daughter’s residence in Mineral, Virginia. She is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Hartt and her sons, Keith and Bruce Hartt.

She is survived by her children; Michael Hartt, Jean Goode (John), Debby Greene (Bob), Wayne Hartt (Suzanne), and Tina Proctor (Bruce); twelve grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren, one great great-grandchild; her sister, Marie Poquette and her brother, James Violette.

A Mass of Life’s Celebration will be held at 11am on Thursday, December 1st at Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Triangle, Virginia; the family will receive friends one hour prior to service.

Interment will follow at 2pm in Quantico National Cemetery.

12011 Robert J. Lapointe, 71, died March 19, 2010, at a Presque Isle hospital. He was born July 9, 1938, in Van Buren, the son of Ovide and Gladys (St. Pierre) Lapointe. Bob was a 1956 graduate of Van Buren Boys' High School and received his bachelor's degree in education from the University of Maine at Fort Kent.
He began his teaching career at Caswell Elementary School and then taught for 17 years in the Van Buren school system. Bob pursued his master's degree in education through the University of Maine, Orono, but sudden illness prevented him from completing.
He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War and was a life member of American Legion Post No. 49, Van Buren, serving five terms as post commander. After his teaching career, he and his wife operated B & M Coins and Sporting Goods, Van Buren, for a number of years.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of nearly 45 years, Micheline (Lebel) Lapointe of Van Buren; five sisters, Stella Violette and husband, Clarence, Janet Roy and husband, Gilman, all of Van Buren, Helen Page and husband, Fred, of Caribou, Robertine Parent and husband, Jim, of Glastonbury, Conn., and Leila Dufour and husband, Dave, of Cyr Plantation; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by three brothers, Percy, Ronald and Donald Lapointe.
Interment with military honors will be at the Maine Veterans Cemetery, Caribou. (Bangor Daily News 3/20/2010)

12012 Robert P Ouellette, 74, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2016 at the Edith Norse Rogers VA Hospital in Bedford, MA. He was born in Madawaska, Maine on July 30, 1942, son of the late Claude J and Winifred Ouellette. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife Ghislaine (Lee) Ouellette and a son, Robert Jr.
"Bob" was a heavily decorated veteran of the US Army, serving in the Vietnam War as part of the First Battalion, Seventh Calvary regiment at the Battle of Ia Drang. He worked more than 30 years at Nashua Corp. until retirement.
He is survived by his second wife Caroline, of Madawaska, his son Brian and wife Jannel, 2 granddaughters Avery and Taryn of New Boston NH, a sister Della Levesque, and her husband Eldon of Phoenix, AZ, as well as 2 brothers; Philip and his wife Martine, of Cromwell CT, and Francis and his wife Mary of Plainville, CT, along with many nieces and nephews. Bob greatly cherished his family and his relationships with his brothers in arms.
A Mass of Christian Burial with be celebrated on Tuesday, December 20th at 10am at St. John XXIIII Parish in St. John the Evangelist Church, 27 Library St., Hudson, NH. Family and friends may meet at the church. Interment will be held in St Patrick Cemetery, Hudson. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Bob's loving memory to the Wounded Warrior Project at www.woundedwarriorproject.org

12014 Robertine Violette, 79, passed away peacefully November 17, 2024, at a Caribou healthcare facility. She was born September 23, 1945 in Caribou, a daughter of the late Nelson and Lorraine Martin.

Robertine last worked at former Borderview Manor for over 20 years as a nurse’s aide. Previously she worked at the former Yacht Club and Hotel, Van Buren, as a housekeeper. Overall, Robertine was a devoted homemaker and cherished raising her family. She was an avid BINGO player and scoured the County for any game. With her nimble fingers, she crocheted many beautiful blankets, which she gave away to many of her family and friends and became cherished heirlooms. During her younger years, Robertine enjoyed square dancing at many of the dance halls and visiting local casinos in Canada. Her love of reading was voracious and her visiting family always kept her fully supplied with new reads.

She is survived by three children, Dana Violette and his wife Jamie of Caribou, Denise Nutting and her husband Patrick of Idaho, and Tammy Violette of Presque Isle; three brothers, Robert Martin and his wife Carol of New Hampshire, Albert Martin of Connecticut, and Frank Martin and his wife Linda of Florida; two sisters, Roseanna Gendreau and her husband Tom of Madawaska, and Sharon Martin of Missouri; six grandchildren, Nicole, Casandra, Veronica, Matthew, Alexis, and Conner; nine great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Robertine was predeceased by four brothers, John, Galen, James and Dennis Martin.

12015 Rosalie R. Violette, 89, died Sept. 15, 2011, at a Bangor hospital. She was born May 15, 1922, in Trois Pistoles, Quebec, daughter of Sylvio and Adele (Fiola) Roy. She had worked for Annette's Bridal Shop and Bella's Bridal Shop, Van Buren, for a number of years. She relocated to Bangor several years ago after the death of her husband. Mrs. Violette is survived by three sons, Charles Violette and his wife, Sharon, of Pleasant Hill, Ohio, Michael Violette and his wife, Eileen, of Townsend, Mass., and Richard Violette of Clifton; one sister, Marion McNeilis of West Warwick, R.I.; six grandchildren, Aaron, Ethan, Nicole, James, Beth and Katie; and seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Leo James Violette, in 2002; and by a daughter-in-law, Sue Violette, in 2006. Relatives and friends may call 6-8 p.m. Sunday and noon-1:30 p.m. Monday at Ouellette-Thibault Funeral Home, 118 High St., Van Buren. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 2 p.m. Monday at St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church. Committal service and interment will be in the parish cemetery. Roy, Rosalie R. (P5837)

At Foyer Notre-Dame Nursing Home of Saint-Leonard, August 13, 2010, Mrs. Rose Violette passed away at the age of 87. She was the wife of the late Frank Violette. Born at Saint-Leonard in 1923, she was the last surviving child of the late Fred and Emma (Corbin) Mazerolle.

Mrs. Violette was a member of the Saint-Leonard Daughters of Isabella.

She is survived by a nephew and a niece she considered her own children, Philippe Michaud and Jocelyne Gagnon (Leo) of Saint-Leonard, two grandsons, Paul and David Violette, three great grandchildren, one sister-in-law, Bertha Mazerolle of Saint-Leonard, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers, Antoine, Eddie and Jeffrey "Boy", four sisters, Marthe Ruest, Jeanne Marquis, Edmay Martin-Palladino and Marguerite Michaud.

Her funeral service was held Tuesday, August 17th at 4 p.m. from the Saint-Leonard Roman Catholic Church with Father Roland Poitras officiating, assisted by Father Roger Dionne. The pallbearers were David Violette, Paul Violette, Gilbert Poitras, Fidele Ouellette, Guy Mazerolle and Jean-Marie Martin. Interment was in the Saint-Leonard Cemetery.

Arrangements were by O'Regan's Funeral Home Ltd.

At Villa des Jardins of Edmundston, July 9, 2018, Mrs. Rose-Alma Violette passed away at the age of 95 years. She was the widow of Donat Violette. Born at Saint-Andre in 1923, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Leonie (Kearney) Poitras.

She is survived by four children, Gérald Violette (Ginette) and Jean-Eudes Violette (Anita) of Edmundston, Mariette Violette of Rivière-du-Loup, Québec and Carmen Dumais of Frenchville, Maine, 12 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren, one brother, Gabriel Poitras of Drummond and two sisters, Rose-Alva Martin (Aimé) of Grand Falls and Odile Phillips (Ronald Corbin) of Hotel-Dieu de Saint-Basile, as well as nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by siblings, Blanche Bourgoin, Pauline Mongrain, Omérine Boivin, Irène Cyr, Jeannette Perron, Albina Langlais, Doris Chevrette, Emile, Germain and Aurèle Poitras.

Resting at O'Regan's Chapel, 83 St-Antoine Street, Saint-Leonard with visiting hours on Saturday, July 14th from 9:30 to 11 a.m.

Her funeral service will be held Saturday, July 14th at 11 a.m. from the Saint-Leonard Roman Catholic Church with interment in the parish cemetery.
