Chase, 90, of Center Street, who died Saturday, February 18, 1978, will be held tomorrow at 2 p.m. from the Church of the Nazarene, Bowdoinham, with the Rev. Harland C. Joyce officiating. Mrs. Chase was born in Bowdoin, January 14, 1888, the daughter of Walter and Caroline Campbell Douglass. She attended schools in Bowdoin and Lisbon Falls. She was a life-long member of the Church of the Nazarene in Bowdoinham and lived in Bowdoinham for nearly 50 years . Her husband, Harry C. Chase, died in August of 1957. She is survived by one son, Theodore Mitchell of Augusta, and five daughters; Alice Langen of Farmington; Ellen Sneed of Virginia Beach, VA.; Elizabeth Holman and Nettie Colby, both of Bowdoinham, and Muriel Doray of Augusta. She is also survived by 36 grandchildren, 94 great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren. Friends may call at the Stetson Funeral Home, 12 Federal St., Brunswick, today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Church of the Nazarene, Bowdoinham. He is survived by his wife Claire (Michaud) Dubay of Van Buren; seven sons, Clarence Dubay of Canaan, Conn.; James "Gene" and Michael Dubay both of Winsted, Conn.; Donald Clifford and Robert Dubay all of Bristol, Conn.; Claude Dubay Jr. of Van Buren; six daughters Claudette Deeves and husband Victor of Presque Isle, Bernadette ' Opthof and husband Ronald of Limestone, Barbara Pelletier and husband Robert of Wedgewood, Texas, Caroline Dubay of Mapleton, Suzanne Allen of Van Buren Patricia Cyr and husband Dr Joseph Cyr of Grand Falls, N.B. Mrs. Gagnon enjoyed playing bridge and knitting. She was a member of St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish and M.E.S.H. and retired from the James River Co., having worked in the Towel Room. She is survived by her daughters Patricia Horne and husband Robert, and Theresa O'Neil of Berlin; brother Roger Montminy of Pepperell MA; sisters Pauline LaPlante of Longueil, Canada, and Gloria Couture of San Diego CA; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was born in Lawrence and was the son of the late George Lane, Sr. and Yvonne (Violette) Lane. George was raised in Lawrence and was a graduate of Central Catholic High School and later attended Merrimack College. George worked for thirty-eight years as an engineer for Western Electric. He was a long time member of the Knights of Columbus Council 4027 in Methuen and the Merrimack Valley Country Club, where he loved to golf. George also enjoyed going to Rockingham Park, right up to the final day the park was open. He was a proud veteran serving in the U.S. Army. In his retirement, he enjoyed traveling to Florida to visit family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Carmela (Loiacono) Lane; his daughters, Debra Shannon and her husband Michael of Boca Raton, FL and Susan Crawford and her husband, Michael of Carlsbad, CA; his step-sons, Robert Paris and his wife Christina of Holderness, NH and Anthony Paris and his wife, Connie. He also leaves three grandchildren and several great grandchildren as well as his sister, Carol Costello and her husband, Myles of North Andover; one niece; two nephews; his best friend, Romeo, who was always by his side right up to the end. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visiting hours on Monday, March 20, 2017 from 9:00 to 10:00 am at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen. Jeanette is survived by her 10 children, Pauline and her husband, Gilman "Pitou" Desjardins, of Frenchville, Bob and his wife, Sandy, of Fairbanks, Alaska, Phil and his wife, Karen, of Frenchville, Rita and her husband, Marcel Cyr, of Winslow, Louis and his wife, Bev, of Vienna, Va., Louise and her husband, Ed Beaumont, of Winterport, Cecile and her husband, Gerry Boucher, of Epping, NH, Patrick and his wife, Debra, of Medford, OR., Pat and her husband, Dave Dubois, of Fort Kent and Richard and his wife, Janice, of Hampden; 17 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; a very special niece, Rita Bouchard and her husband, Romeo; a sister-in-law, Claire Dubay; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Hercules in 1977; four brothers, six sisters and one granddaughter. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Wednesday at Saint Luce Catholic Church, Frenchville. 2134 | DOB, DOD: Find a Grave ohn Salvatore Cavallaro Sr., 83, known as 'Nina' to his family and friends died peacefully on Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012, at the Gosnell Hospice House surrounded by his loving family. John was born in Portland on Sept. 7, 1929, one of 10 children to Carmine and Catherine (Esposito) Cavallaro, immigrants from Sorrento and Naples, Italy. John attended Portland schools and was a lifelong communicant of St. Peter's Church. John proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War aboard the USS Orion. Upon his return to the states John worked for James A. McBrady Co. as a sheet metal worker for over 22 years until the entrepreneurial spirit hit him and he ventured out on his own for the next 20 years. In 1956 John married Maxine (Thibodeau) Cavallaro. They would share their love for each other for the next 56 years and raise a beautiful family together. Johns love of family was the most important aspect of his life. John was predeceased by an infant son, Daniel; six brothers and three sisters. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a time of visitation for John and his family this Friday, Oct. 5, 2012, from 5 to 8 p.m., at the Jones, Rich and Hutchins Funeral Home, 199 Woodford St., Portland. A Mass of Christian Burial for John will be celebrated on Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012, at 9 a.m., at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, 72 Federal St., Portland. Committal services will follow Mass at Calvary Cemetery in So. Portland. Care for John and his family has been entrusted to the Jones Rich & Hutchins Funeral Home, Portland.
