Also his sister Nancy, who is 20, is living with him. All this would indicate his father has passed. Markey C. Violette, 77, died April 29 at his Lake Street residence following a short illness. He was born in Caribou, April 13, 1895. Violette had been a resident here most of his life, and formerly resided in Yonkers, N.Y. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, and of the Abnaki Club. Surviving are two sons, Floyd, Yonkers, N.Y., and Basil of Hartford, Conn.; a daughter, Mrs. Vernon (Frances) Wright, Prospect, Conn.; a sister, Mrs. Sanford (Nancy) Kelly, South Portland; several Grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at Christ the King Church, Yonkers, N.Y., and burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Yonkers, N.Y. | Violette, Markey C. (P7201)

8141 | DOB: Villejesus, Charente, France church record DOM: Saintes, France church record DOD: Rochefort-Sur-Mer, France church record Charles departed LaRochelle, France, on 29 June 1749, on a transport in convoy with the Men-of-War ships Intrepide & Tigre with his wife Marie David and their son Francois, and arrived in Louisbourg, Acadia, on 23 July 1749. Charles was a "couvreur de toits", a roofer. "Endgame 1758" by A. J. B. Johnston pg 274/275 states that the first ship to leave Louisbourg after the siege of 1758, with French deportees, left Louisbourg on 9 August 1758. These first ships were to carry captured soldiers and sailors, before the civilians were to be sent away. The last boat left near the end of September 1758. Charles landed in LaRochelle, France and he was issued rations there until the end of January 1759 and he was in Rochefort by the beginning of March 1759.
