Born in Van Buren, Maine, July 7, 1939, a son of Marie (Violette) Fongemie and the late Maurice Fongemie, Rodney was employed as a tool and dye maker at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft for 25 years until his retirement in 1991. Rodney was a member of St. Paul Church, Kensington and a third and fourth degree Knight of Columbus, Council 3675. Besides his wife and mother, Rodney is survived by three sons, David, Dominic and Mark Fongemie, all of Kensington; a brother, Maynard and his wife, Annette Fongemie, of Denmark; and a nephew, Rene Fongemie. He was predeceased by two brother's, Victor and Donald Fongemie, Friends and family may call at the Berlin Memorial Funeral Home, 96 Main St., Kensington on Saturday, May 31, from 9 to 11 a.m. with a Mass of Christian burial at St. Paul Church, 467 Alling St., Kensington at 11:30 a.m. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. | Fongemie, Rodney (P8920)

Hansen, 89, a long-time resident of Quincy, passed away surrounded by his loved ones Thursday, March 31, 2016 at the Bay Path Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Duxbury. He was the beloved husband of the late Theresa L. (Morneau) Hansen with whom he shared 46 years of marriage. Born in South Boston, he was the son of the late Axel and Edna (Morris) Hansen. A graduate of South Boston High School and earned his degree from Newbury College. He was a veteran of service with the US Airforce from 1951- 1955 during the Korean War. He began his career at Western Electric Telephone Company where he retired as a Methods Analyst. Vernon spent much of his time in his flourishing garden and producing beautiful paintings for his family and friends to cherish. He is survived by his three children: his daughter Laurie - Ann Bonn and her husband Thomas of Kingston, his son Wayne Hansen and his wife Kimberly of Plymouth, and his daughter Diane Anekstein and husband Jeremy of Florida; 6 grandchildren: Danielle and Kaitlyn Bonn, Erik and Jonathan Hansen, and David and Chloe Anekstein; and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late: Russell Hansen, Olga Ollie (Hansen) McEvoy, Edna Norma (Hansen) Schmidt, Edmond Hansen, Thelma (Hansen) Manson, and Harold Hansen. Geraldine is proceeded by her husband Leroy Samuel Sipe, Her parents Joseph (John) and Lorena (Kellner) Violette, a sister Ruth Barrett, a brother Burton Violette and their spouses. Also, her grandson John M. Mazako Jr and son- in- law John M Mazako Sr. Geraldine is survived by her son, her daughter Jean (Sipe) Mazako, her granddaughter Kelly (Mazako) Kirk and husband James, 2 grandsons, and 10 beloved great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Geraldine was born in Danbury, CT on August 29, 1920. Geraldine grew up and raised her family in Danbury and later in life move to New Milford, CT and Port Saint Lucie, Fl . Geraldine was a homemaker and housewife. She was best known for her loving and friendly personality. She always had a smile on her face. She loved to help the children with school projects, especially shadow boxes. You could often find her making her famous apple turnovers and applesauce cake or crocheting items for the home, and for anyone who asked, especially blankets. Her number one priority was her family. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and visiting her other relatives. Geraldine truly enjoyed life and took everything in stride. They were married 61 years. Connie was born in Madawaska, ME on June 16, 1929 to the late Vital and Jeannette (Chasse) Doucette and moved to Bristol at age 14. She was a graduate of St. Ann’s School and Hartford Trade School for Hairdressing. She worked as a hairdresser then at Stanley Tools, Superior Electric, Garlock, and Criticon. Connie and John retired in 1989 and spent 15 wonderful years traveling in their motorhome managing to visit every state in the USA except Alaska (they flew to Hawaii for their 25th wedding anniversary). Card games were a big part of their lives with family and friends; cribbage, setback, spades, poker, and Charlemagne were familiar pastimes at “Club 77”.
