She was the wife of the late Maxime Violette. Born at Siegas in 1911, she was the last surviving child of the late Steven and Annie Gauvin. Mrs. Violette was a member of the "Mouvement des femmes chrétiennes" of Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes. She is survived by one son, Adrien (Gisele) of Riviere-Verte, three daughters, Rejeanne Caldwell (Dave) of Mars Hill, Maine, Simone Poitras of Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes and Denise Violette (partner Gervais Dupuis) of Saint-François, nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, nieces and nephews. Her funeral was held Wednesday, November 12th at 4 p.m. from the Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, with Father Roland Poitras officiating. The pallbearers were Philippe Poitras, Patrice Poitras, Bertin Violette, Charles Violette, Kevin Violette and Gervais Dupuis. Interment was in the adjoining cemetery. She was predeceased by step-son, Adolphe "Ti-Bi" Poirier, brothers, Alveo, Gabriel "Bi" and Yvon, sisters, Gisele Michaud, Gemma Lagace, Simone Michaud and Estelle Gauvin. Her funeral service was held Wednesday, December 21st at 4 p.m. from the Assumption Roman Catholic Church, Grand Falls with Father Lucien Levesque officiating. The pallbearers were Evan Deschenes, Maurice Violette, Brian Morin, Phillip Violette, David Roussel and Kevin Violette. Interment was in the Assumption Cemetery.
