Sandra Jones CONCORD - Mrs. Sandra Violette Jones, 63, passed away Saturday March 26, 2016, after a four year courageous battle against ovarian cancer. A service celebrating the life of this beautiful woman will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 30, 2016, at Rocky River Presbyterian Church with Rev. Neal Carter officiating. The family will greet friends at a reception following the service in the fellowship hall. Sandra was born August 17, 1952, in Cabarrus County to Stanley F. Violette and Callie Rice Violette of Concord. She retired from the Employment Security Commission as an assistant office manager. In retirement, she displayed her love for children by working in the nursery at the Sportscenter Athletic Club in Concord where she was a member for 30 years. She was a voracious reader, a fitness enthusiast and enjoyed the time that she spent with her family. In addition to her parents, survivors include her loving and devoted husband, Dennis Jones; daughter, Jennifer Allison of Lake Norman, Jaime Allison of Concord and Natalie Sneed of Gastonia; grandchildren, Noah and Jace Allison and Alex Keipper; brothers, Ron Violette and wife, Jane of Concord and Gary Violette of San Diego, CA and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials may be made to lovethelittleones.org or donations may be remitted to Love The Little Ones at 48 Manor Avenue, Concord, NC 28025.
