1930 Van Buren census listed in the home of Laurence Y. Violette as Elizabeth Cyr adopted daughter, her paternal parenrs were Franke E. Cyr & Augustine Legassey.
Isabel Hebert 79 died unexpectedly Sept 29 1993 at a Bangor hospital. She was bom Dec 11 1913 and resided in Van Buren from her early infancy. She attended and graduated from Van Buren schools. Mrs Hebert was a former member of the Business and Professional Women's Club and the of Van Buren. She was a member of the Evangeline Circle Daughters of Isabella and was a charter member of the Van Buren Community Hospital Auxiliary (St Martha's Guild). She was the owner of St Barnabas Apartments in Portland. Mrs Hebert is survived by one daughter Lisa A Hebert of Van Buren, three sons John Hebert and Thomas Hebert both of Van Buren and Robert Hebert of Unity, one sister Carmen Cyr of Bangor and four grandchildren Stephanie, Julie, Helene, and John Hebert. She was predeceased by her husband Henry Hebert in 1986. Relatives and friends may call at the Ouellette-Thibault Funeral Home 12 High St Van Buren 7-9 pm Friday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 am Saturday at the St Bruno-St Remi Catholic Church with the Rev Normand Martin SM pastor celebrant. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers those who wish may contribute in her memory to the St Bruno-St Remi Parish Memorial Fund 336 Main St Van Buren 04785 or to the Mt View Basketball Fund in care of Lucy Curtis Mt View High School, Thorndike 04986. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
