      First of this family to settle in Caraquet
      Part of a group of refugees from Acadia escaping depotation and settling in Restigoushe in 1761.
      He then lived in Miscou with his wife's family.
      In 1784 he resettled to Caraquet where he received 400 acres of land. Part of which is the land that the present church sits on.
      In 1791 he sold 236 acres to Raphael Blanchard and relocated to Petit Rocher where he died 1797.
