CORINNA – Donald P. Brodeur, 79, beloved husband and father, passed peacefully from this world September 1, 2016. Don was born February 13, 1937 in Old Town, a son of Edmund and Laura (Richards) Brodeur. He graduated from Corinna Union Academy, Class of 1956.
Don married his high school sweetheart Adrienne (Ordway) Brodeur in 1956.
He was employed at Eastland Woolen Mill for more than 30 years, and at Bartlett Yarns and McKenney Machine Shop prior to his retirement.
Don was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed fishing with his wife and close friends at Moosehead Lake, and hunting with his brothers at the hunting camp they built in Corinna.
In addition to his wife of 59 years, Don is survived by 2 sons, Khris and wife Laurie of Sangerville, and Kevin and wife Karen of Corinna; brothers Bob and wife Shirley of Millinocket, Dick and wife Charlene of Manchester, NH, Dennis and wife Donna Lee of Millinocket, and Eddie and wife Shirley of Gardiner; sisters, Clara and husband Charlie Perkins of Exeter, Carol and husband Tim Paradis of Newport, and Cleo and husband Bob Skofield of Winthrop; grandson Chris Brodeur and granddaughter Amanda and husband Tyler McKenney; a great granddaughter Kora; as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his son Scott in 1961, his parents in 1977 and 1980, and grandsons Donald E. in 2009 and Tucker D. in 2012.
