    • GARDYS MAY (BAMBER) VIOLETTE BELFAST Gardys May (Bamber) Violette 70 died unexpectedly Jan 24 1996 at a Bangor hospital. She was born in Dexter March 6 1925 the daughter of Donald and Norma (Hall) Bamber. She was married in Bangor Aug 31 1946 to William Violette with whom she had shared almost 50 years of marriage. Gardys and William had lived in several states including California, Massachusetts, and Connecticut. She had primarily resided in Sedgwick until 1988 when she retired to Belfast so that she could be closer to her family. She was a member of the Faith Temple Church of God where she enjoyed the Senior Citizen Group. Gardys loved reading and listening to gospel music. She is survived by her husband William Violette of Belfast, two daughters Darlene Ward and her husband Delmont of Belfast, and Sharon and Mark Sullivan of Watertown NY, a son David Violette of Winterport, three sisters Helen Albert of Chicopee Mass, Ellen Sibley of Bango,r Marion Provost of Bucksport, two brothers Earlon Bamber of Westly Chapel Fla, and Richard Bamber of Moodus Conn, two grandchildren Nancy Ward of Belfast and Susan Hall of Sandy Point. She was predeceased by a son Ronald Violette, three brothers Rex, Donald, and Lawrence Bamber, and a sister Irene Knowlton.
