Henry Louis Graziani, 88, of Suffield, CT loving husband of the late Lorette (Moreau) Graziani entered into Eternal Rest on Wednesday, January 16, 2013, at home with his daughter, Regina by his side. Henry was born July 9, 1924, in Windsor Locks, CT the son of Italian Immigrants Graziano and Ida (Garini) Graziani. Henry was a graduate of Suffield Academy and later attended St. Thomas Seminary in Bloomfield. He proudly served in the United States Army during World War II and after the war he began what would be a fruitful career in construction with developing homes and business' throughout the area. Religion was a very important aspect of Henry's life and he was a faithful parishioner of St. Mary Church and fellow knight of the Knights of Columbus Riverside Council # 26 of Windsor Locks. He was a former member of the Windsor Locks Volunteer Fire Department, a member of the American Legion Gensi-Viola Post No. 36 of Windsor Locks and a former member of the Vintage Sports Car Club of America. In his spare time he loved sailing, racing sailboats, enjoyed drives in his Alfa Romeo and anything to do with American History. In addition to his loving daughter, Regina Graziani of Suffield he is also survived by his beloved granddaughter, Grace Dowling, who took great joy in caring for her Poppie in his final days and a sister, Frances Graziani of Windsor Locks.
Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family on Sunday, January 20, 2012, from 3- 5 p.m. at the Windsor Locks Funeral Home, 441 Spring St., Windsor Locks. A Mass of Christian Burial for Henry will be celebrated on Monday, January 21 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Church, 42 Spring St., Windsor Locks. (Please meet at the church) Burial with military honors will be held in St. Mary Cemetery. Memorial donations in memory of Henry may be made to St. Mary's Church, 42 Spring St., Windsor Locks, CT 06096.
