      Mildred Doucette Lauzon of Stafford Avenue, Bristol, died Saturday. She was 70.

      She was born in Grand Isle, Maine, and lived in Bristol most of her life. She was a secretary for the Bristol Board of Education for 35 years, retiring in 1988. She then worked for MD First Care, and since 1990 worked at Bristol Motor Works.

      She was a member of St. Ann Church, served on the parish council for many years and was active in the church choir. She was a member and past president of the Connecticut Association of Educational Secretaries.

      She is survived by a daughter, Patti Fippinger of Burlington; three brothers, Wilfred, Claude and Francis Doucette, all of Bristol; four sisters, Jeannine Albert, Joan Lubelczyk, Connie Daigle and Geraldine Lyman, all of Bristol; two granddaughters; a brother-in-law, Paul Lauzon of Bristol; and several nieces and nephews.

      She was the widow of Robert R. Lauzon.

      The funeral was on Tuesday from Funk Funeral Home, Bellevue Ave., Bristol, to St. Ann Church for a Mass of Christian burial.
      Burial followed in St. Joseph Cemetery.
