    • Nancy Jane (Franklin) Violette, 87, of Newington and formerly Wethersfield and New Port Richey, FL, beloved wife of the late Joseph Violette, passed away on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 with her family by her side. Born in Hartford on July 27, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Edith (Henry) Franklin and grew up in Wethersfield, graduating from Wethersfield High School. Nancy worked for many years as a kitchen assistant and in the library at Hanmer School in Wethersfield. She was a phenomenal cook and baker, but more than anything, she loved being home to take care of her husband and children. A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Nancy will be forever missed by her three children, Diana Violette of Vernon, Donna Lee Violette of Ellington and Michelle DiMartino and husband Scott of Rocky Hill; two adored granddaughters, Crystal Deperry and Emily Sloan and husband Justin and her cherished great-grandson, Patrick Sloan. She is also survived by her sister, Priscilla Tripp of Ellenton, FL and a host of dear nieces and nephews. She was sadly predeceased by two children, Donna Marie Violette and Donald Violette; her beloved grandson, Scott DiMartino, Jr. and her four siblings, Richard Franklin, Robert Franklin, Mary Spencer and Barbara D'Amato. Special thanks to the staff of Middlewoods of Newington and Jefferson House for their care and compassion.Calling hour will be Tuesday (February 26th) from 10:30-11:30 a.m. concluding with a celebration of Nancy's life at 11:30 a.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Boulevard, Wethersfield. Nancy will be buried next to her husband in New Port Richey, FL.
