    • WATERVILLE - Steven O. Violette passed away Saturday, April 12, 2014, at Alfond Center For Health in Augusta, after a short illness.

He was born in St. Leonard, New Brunswick, Oct. 7, 1932, the son of Remie Sawyer Violette and Lena (Dube) Violette.

Steven's wife, Anita E. Violette, predeceased him on Jan. 20, 2007. He had loved and missed her so dearly from that day on with a broken heart from lack of her love that she gave him so much of for 49 years.

She was my comfort and also my strength to carry on and to love every day and also to love all the grandchildren and their kids on down the line. Anita was a very devoted wife and mother to all with a heart of gold. She's the only woman that had won my heart and soul forever more. She and I also loved my brothers and sisters and also their kids, which between us, was quite a few and too many to mention in my obituary I'm afraid. Yes, we had a lot of picnics and family get to-gathers very often. I had worked on farms, in stores, painting and then worked on electronics, TV, and audio and video and also wrote so many of my own songs and recorded them on to CDs.

I was told that my voice sounded like Johnny Cash, which made me proud because Johnny Cash was really my best friend. My wife's kids were very sweet at times, and at times they could be so hard to understand what they were trying to say or even do, but I loved them in my own way and never was mean to them unless they treated my wife (their mother) a little unkind.

We loved all the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. All I can say be careful of what you say, because that will come back to haunt you. We all have just one life, so treat everybody with kindness and even devotion and don't forget to give love to them all, don't leave anybody out. I was told a bad thing from one of you. I won't mention any name, but you know who you are, maybe you think it's too late, but it's better to be too late than never. I've already said that I'm sorry and forgive you from the bottom of my heart, with love always.

Just like my wife, I've loved her until I died.

Yes, I send my love to everyone that I've known in my life time and God bless.

A graveside funeral service will be at 1 p.m.. Saturday, May 10, 2014, in Maplewood Cemetery, Maple Street, Fairfield.

Arrangements are with Gallant Funeral Home, 10 Elm St., Waterville. An online guest book may be signed and condolences may be expressed at www.gallantfh.com.

There won't be any wake, just a few at my gravesite, maybe where I'll be again with my dear wife that I missed for so long and now I'll be where I do belong by her side for eternity. "Hello Darling, here I am with you for always, my dear Anita. Take a hold of my hand once I'm at the same level as you are and we'll never let go. Yes darling, I love you still."

      Your husband Steven O. Violette.
