  • Notes

    • Joyce M. (Violette) Coffin, passed away peacefully, Saturday June 29, 2019 in Houlton, Maine, after a period of failing health. Joyce was born August 8, 1943, in Deer Isle, Maine, to John and Evelyn Violette.
Joyce was a loving, caring, and truly selfless person. Always taking care of others, and putting their needs in front of her own. Be it her children, her job, or doing in home care for the elderly, Joyce always had others’ well being in mind. She was also a phenomenal cook. If there was anything she enjoyed more than seeing people happy, it was seeing them full of her wonderful food. If you ever had the pleasure of meeting Joyce, you were a part of her family, and family was of the most importance to her. She was a kind, loving nurturing soul, who was happiest when surrounded by family, friends,, and country music. She was loved deeply, and will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
Joyce was predeceased by her parents John and Evelyn, and her brother Lawrence. She is survived by her four children; Scott Bickford and his wife Kim of Berwick, Maine, Shery Bickford of Milton, NH, Marshall Burpee and his wife Ruthanne of Houlton, Maine, and Cindy Burpee of Houlton, Maine. Her six grandchildren; Jeffrey, Josh, Ryan, Laurence, Nick, and Lauren, three great grandchildren, Hannah, Aurora, and Sylvie, and also her sister Elenor Henderson of Levant, Maine.
