Homerine M. Violette, 88, passed away peacefully Saturday, July 6, 2019, at her home, with her family at her side. She was born October 20, 1930 in Hamlin, a daughter of the late Remi and Alma (Ringuette) Cyr.
Homerine shared 57 wonderful years with her beloved husband, Alfred. Together they owned and operated Al’s Neighborhood Store for many years. She was always willing to help others in need and will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by: two sons, Gary Violette (Sandi) of Willow Park, TX, Gregory Violette (Tracy) of Warwick, RI; five daughters, Judy Crowley (Stephen) of W. Bath, Pamela Michaud of Van Buren, Sharon Bolduc (Jay) of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Margo Redden (Jerry) of Mountain City, TN, and Lolita Cyr (Glenn) of W. Palm Beach, FL; twelve grandchildren, Shanda, Shayla, Samuel, Tony, Dennis, Heidi, Blake, Amber, Crystal, Emelynn, Danielle & Nicole; six great grandchildren, Matthew, Raegan, Easton, Violette, Remie, & Aria; three brothers, Raymond Cyr of Hamlin, Clarence Cyr of Medway, and Richard Cyr of Port St. Lucie, FL; four sisters, Rachel Ouellette of Portland, Lillian Landry of The Villages, FL, Irma Martin of Lady Lake, FL, and Marie Lajoie of West Palm Beach, FL; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Homerine was predeceased by her husband, Alfred Violette, in 2009, two brothers, Adrian and Chanel Cyr, one sister, Gertrude Ouellette, and a son-in-law, Kenneth D. Michaud.
