CHAFETZ, Jocelyn Violette Jocelyn (Jessie) Violette Chafetz, passed away peacefully on November 7 with her husband by her side, following a 15 year fight with cancer. Jessie worked for many years as a dental office manager, and was a friend to all she encountered. She is survived by her husband and best friend of over 50 years, Sheldon Chafetz. She is also survived by her son Stuart Chafetz and his wife, Ann Krinitsky of Honolulu, HI, and Chautauqua, NY; and by her daughter Deena Chafetz and her partner Stacey Bouffard of Sag Harbor, NY. Jessie leaves her brother Norbert Violette and his wife Maricel of Indian Harbor Beach, FL, her sister Marcella DeLuca of Greenwich, CT, her brother-in-law Gerald Chafetz and his wife Alice of Rockville Centre, NY. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2009 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford with Rabbi Stephen Fuchs officiating. Interment will follow in the Hartford Mutual Society Cemetery, East Granby. A memorial period will be observed at her home Wednesday following the funeral through noontime Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 538 Preston Ave., P.O. Box 1004, Meriden 06450 or to the Hebrew Home & Hospital, 1 Abrahms Boulevard, West Hartford 06117.
