- WATERBURY — Paul R. Violette, 46, passed away on Sunday, July 4, 2010, at Bucks Hill Nursing and Rehab Center after a courageous battle with cancer.
Paul was born in Fort Kent, Maine, on Oct. 26, 1963. He graduated from Wolcott High School in 1981 and was employed most of his life as a commercial truck driver. Paul loved the outdoors, snowmobiling, deep sea and freshwater fishing, and was an avid Red Sox and Cowboys fan.
Paul is survived by his mother, Bernadette Bernier and her husband, Paul, of Southington; his father, Robert Violette and his companion, Diane Ferguson, of Kernersville, N.C.; his paternal grandmother, Evelyn Violette of Grand Falls, N.B., Canada; two brothers, Michael and his wife, Sharon Violette, of Watertown, Dan and his wife, Alainna Violette, of Wolcott; two nieces, Alyssa Violette of Naugatuck, Heather Violette of Wolcott; a nephew, Trevor Violette of Wolcott; and a longtime close friend, Linda Romanauskas of Bristol.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, July 8, 2010, at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 690 Woodtick Road, Wolcott. Burial will follow in Edgewood Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m.
