      Page Violette Harmon, wife of Benjamin F. Harmon III, died October 16, 2011 at her home at Westminster Canterbury.

      She was a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Agnes Scott College. While living in Richmond she completed an Education for Ministry program and was designated a Spiritual Advisor.

      Mrs. Harmon was active in church related programs at the parish and diocesan levels and in secular non profit groups. She was twice a vestry member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church and was a founding member of Richmond Hill, where she tended the garden for years.

      She accompanied her husband around the world during his military career and always participated in local activities.

      Besides her husband of 61 years she is survived by two sons, Benjamin IV and wife, Nancy of Richmond and Michael of Atlanta; and grandson, Judson Burke Harmon of New York.

      A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, October 21 in the Commons at Westminster Canterbury.

      The family suggests that any memorial contributions be to the Westminster Canterbury Foundation.
