    • PATTEN and BENEDICTA – Frank T. Violette, 74, died Dec. 17, 2005, at his home with his family at his side. He was born Nov. 27, 1931, in Patten, the son of John Dennis and Ruth (Carr) Violette. Frank graduated from Patten Academy in 1951, and was a self-employed carpenter most of his life. He was a member of the Stetson Memorial United Methodist Church, Patten, where he was an active member of the UM Mens Club and cooked for all of their functions. He was also a member of the Patten Liars Club. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Patricia (Leavitt) Volette; one son, Scott and his wife, Lori Violette; and one daughter, Roanne Violette, all of Benedicta. Known to his three loving grandchildren as “Papa,” Joshua and his fiance, Paula, and special little Lillianna, all of Vermont, and Taren and Brandi of Benedicta; one sister, Ann and her husband, Wallace Townsend, of Island Falls; two brothers, F. Raymond and his wife, Theresa Violette, of Massachusetts and Alton Violette of Patten; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, and one brother, John. Friends may call 10-noon Wednesday, at the Stetson Memorial United Methodist Church, Patten, with funeral services being held noon with the Rev. Tae Sun Tang officiating. Spring interment will be in the Sherman Station Cemetery.
