VAN BUREN — Mrs. Ida Cormier, 69, died Monday at a local hospital after a brief illness. Mrs. Cormier was born at Cyr Plantation April 13, 1894. daughter of William and Claudia (Violette) Lajoie. She was a member of the Ladies of St. Anne and of the Third Order of Mary. She is survived by four brothers Willie and Come, both of Cyr Plantation, Felix of Van Buren, Abel of Portsmouth, N.H.; four sisters Mrs Laura Dubay, Mrs. Germaine Tardif both of Lewiston, Mrs. Anna Martin of Waterville, Mrs. Cecile Ouellette of Van Buren, six sons, Emile of- Howland, Fidele of Van Buren, Rudy of Rochester, N.H., Lionel of Lewiston, Roderick of Hartford, Conn., Victor of Malden, Mass., eight daughters, Mrs. Irene Philbrick of East Corinth, Mrs. Rita Dumais of Van Buren, Mrs. Antoinette St. Pierre of Stafford Springs, Conn., Mrs. Loretta Nadeau of East Hartford ,Conn., Mrs. Agatha Cote of Hartford, Conn., Mrs. Carmen Vaillancourt of Lewiston, Mrs. Lena Allard of Manchester, Conn., Mrs. Lucille Bour-goin of Enfield, Conn., 35 grandchildren. Friends may call at Thibault's Funeral Home Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Requiem Mass will be celebrated Wednesday at St Bruno's Catholic Church at 9 a.m. with the Rev Leo James Cyr, S.M. officiating. Interment will be in family lot in St Bruno's Cemetery.
