    • Violet M. Cyr, 58, of New Britain, died on Thursday (July 15, 2004) at New Britain General Hospital. Born in Eagle Lake, Maine on May 31, 1946, she was a daughter of the late Claude "Zibbie" Cyr and Mildred "Millie" (Violette) Cyr. She was raised in Fort Kent, ME and has resided in New Britain for the past 40 years. She leaves a brother, Claude "Greg" Cyr of Ashburn, VA; her estranged son, Wayne Babin; a granddaughter, Tabitha Babin; and her former husbands, Dana Babin and Walter Pretash. A memorial Mass will be celebrated on August 25, 2004 at 10 AM at St. Louis Church in Fort Kent, ME. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Fort Kent. There are no calling hours. Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol, is in charge of arrangements.
