KENSINGTON - Rodney S. Fongemie, 74, of Kensington, husband of Marlene (Thibodeau) Fongemie, passed away on Tuesday, May 27, 2014, at John Dempsey Hospital.
Born in Van Buren, Maine, July 7, 1939, a son of Marie (Violette) Fongemie and the late Maurice Fongemie, Rodney was employed as a tool and dye maker at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft for 25 years until his retirement in 1991. Rodney was a member of St. Paul Church, Kensington and a third and fourth degree Knight of Columbus, Council 3675.
Besides his wife and mother, Rodney is survived by three sons, David, Dominic and Mark Fongemie, all of Kensington; a brother, Maynard and his wife, Annette Fongemie, of Denmark; and a nephew, Rene Fongemie. He was predeceased by two brother's, Victor and Donald Fongemie,
Friends and family may call at the Berlin Memorial Funeral Home, 96 Main St., Kensington on Saturday, May 31, from 9 to 11 a.m. with a Mass of Christian burial at St. Paul Church, 467 Alling St., Kensington at 11:30 a.m. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
