Aurora A Violette 78 of Oxford Street died unexpectedly Wednesday May 26 2004 at Maine General Medical Center Augusta.
She was bom in Augusta on May 5 1926 a daughter of the late Arthur and Ida (Daniels) Maheux.
Mrs Violette was a homemaker for most of her life. Some of her favorite hobbies were long rides with her husband and shopping on Tuesdays with her sisters and lunch afterward. She enjoyed trips and her grand- and great-grandchildren. She was a loving and caring wife and mother who will be greatly missed by us all.
Mrs Violette was predeceased by three brothers and a sister.
She is survived by her husband of 38 years Donald J. Violette Sr. of Augusta; a son, Donald J. Violette Jr. and his wife Nancy, of Hesperia Calif; two daughters Sandra Waldon of Augusta and Gail Mickels and her husband David of Fairfield, Iowa; two brothers Richard Maheux of Augusta and Laurent Maheux and his wife Priscilla of Augusta; two sisters Aldea Cobb of Winthrop and Florence Vogt and her husband John of Winthrop; 10 grandchildren two great-grandchildren and several nieces nephews and cousins.
Relatives and friends may visit today from 6 to 8 pm at Plummer Funeral Home 16 Pleasant St Augusta. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9 am Saturday morning at St Augustine Catholic Church Northern Avenue Augusta. Burial and committal prayers will be held at 10 am Wednesday, graveside at Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery Mount Vernon Road Augusta.
