    • Joanna C. [Lazowski] Violette, 80, of Lawrence, Massachusetts passed away on April 25, 2024, of critical medical issues, a cross she suffered and endured through most of her adult life with courage by the grace of God. Joanna was born to Polish parents, Anthony Lazowski and Hedwig Tekieniewska of Brooklyn, N.Y. on December 11, 1943. Joanna was a schoolteacher at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel School in Methuen MA. In 1977, she married James J. Violette, a teacher at Greater Lawrence Technical School in Andover MA. Joanna was a joyful and giving person who loved traveling in her younger adult years. She especially enjoyed traveling on road trips to visit family. She was an avid reader and loved spending time with her husband. She had a degree in language arts. She enjoyed painting. She is survived by her husband, James Violette of Lawrence. She was predeceased by her brothers, Thaddeaus (Ted), Edward (Ed), Anthony F. (Antek) Lazowski and her sisters, Teresa Gorski and Maryanna Nikodem. She is survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Joanna is and always will be the love of her husband Jame's life – she was a precious gift from God. Please pray for Joanna, that by God's loving mercy she now resides with God in a better place without pain and with eternal happiness.
