      ST. DAVID - Richard Rossignol, 48, passed away on January 31, 2018, at his residence in St. David. He was born in Edmundston, New Brunswick, on June 17, 1969, son of Eldon and Shelda (Violette) Rossignol. Rich enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, gardening, and working on his land at the lake. He was a lover of life and loved spending time with his family and friends. Rich was running a successful insurance company in Madawaska, previously owned and operated by his grandfather and father. He is survived by his son, Nick Rossignol of St. Agatha; his mother, Shelda Rossignol of St. David; his loving fiancé, Jeannedarc Gallant of Edmundston; one uncle, Leo James Violette and his wife, Dot, of Florida. He was predeceased by his father, Eldon Rossignol; and his cousin, Sherry Violette. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, February 16, 2018, at the St. Thomas Church. Family and friends may offer their condolences at the church from 9 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. on Friday before the service. In lieu of flowers, please send contributions to the Madawaska Long Lake Property Owners Association, 135 Green Point Rd., St. David, ME 04773. Arrangements have been entrusted to Lajoie Funeral Home in Madawaska.
