    Find a Grave: Laura Hannah Violette was born the sixth of nine children to Francois "Frank" and Flavia (Cyr) Violette. Laura was married in Jan 1900, in Missoula, MT, to Louis Adolphe Rocheleau II. They had one son, Louis Adolphe Rocheleau III, born Jan 14, 1902 in Missoula, MT-- four months after the sudden death of Louis II. On Dec 8, 1903, Laura married Eugene Solomon Morin in Missoula at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Eugene and Laura had four children: Gerald H. b. 1906; Beatrice C. b. Nov 1908; Adrienne G. b. Mar 1910; and Bernice M. b. Sep 1911. Eugene also brought one child to the marriage, daughter Gabriel, from his first marriage. The Morin's moved to California in the late 1920s, where they eventually settled in Desert Hot Springs. Laura, Eugene, Bernice, and Beatrice are all buried there in Desert Memorial Park.

    Louis Rocheleau III was a decorated radio-gunner in the Marine Corp air wing during WW 2, serving overseas mainly in the Philippines, while flying 30 combat missions. He returned to Missoula and attended U of M where he starred for the Grizzly basketball team; playing on a team with the legendary Bob Cope. He then had a long career as a teacher and phenomenal coach, first at Dillon, then at MCHS, leading teams to numerous state titles in both basketball and track. He left MCHS to coach basketball at U of M for two seasons and then retired from coaching.
