    DOVER-FOXCROFT - Robert
    "Bob" Ingalls Suminsbey Violette died at home on Oct.19, 1998, after a long courageous battle with multiple-sclerosis. He was born May 22, 1931, in Bar Harbor, the son of Oneil A. and Doris (Suminsbey) Violette.
    He attended Dexter schools and graduated from Foxcroft Academy in 1950, He loved football and was team captain. He served in the U.S. Air Force for four years and was stationed in Korea for part of that time. In 1954, he married Beatrice "Bea" McKusick from Dexter. They lived in Boston until 1959 when they moved to Dover-Foxcroft. He worked as a licensed master plumber as long as he could. He was an active member of the Physically Challenged Club at the Piscataquis Regional YMCA. There were many who found his life to be an inspiration. He was active in his denomination, American Baptist Churches of Maine, and served as he was able. He attended Craig Bible Institute which merged with ABCOM Institute for Ministry, from which he graduated. He attended seminary classes with Bea up until this spring, always offirtning and encouraging. He was a member of the United Baptist Church of Dover- Foxcroft for almost 4O years, over 30 of which he served as Deacon. He was a member of East Dover Grange #236, serving as Master and other offices.
    He is survived by his devoted wife of 44 years, a stepmother, M. Arline Violette of Thorndike; aunts, Francis Woodworth of Bar Harbor and Yvonne Parent of Gonic, N.H.; cousins and many friends.
    Those who wish may send contributions in his memory to Physically Challenged Club, care of Fran Moore, YMCA, Dover-Foxcroft or China Lake Conference Center, P.O. Box 149, China, ME 04926-0149. A memorial service of celebration and worship will be held at the United Baptist Church, Dover-Foxcroft, 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, 1998, with the Rev. Howard A. Krueger officiating. Friends may call or visit Bea at home at any time Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home, Dover-Foxcroft.
