At Foyer Notre-Dame Nursing Home of Saint-Leonard, December 7, 2021, Mrs. Rolande Violette of Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes passed away at the age of 84 years. She was the widow of Claude Violette. Born at Saint-Benoit-de-Packington, Quebec in 1937, she was a daughter of the late Gerard and Jeanne (Devost) Dumont.
She is survived by six children, Suzanne (Normand Bernier) of Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes, Bernadette (Bertin Allard) of Campbellton, Jean-Jules (Ginette) of St-Leonard-Parent, Dominique (Tina) and Francois (Paula) of Saint-Leonard and Francine Violette (Yves Graveson) of Sherbrooke, Quebec, 11 grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, two brothers, Real Dumont (Marie-Ange Dube) of Rimouski and Donald Dumont (Lucie) of Newfoundland and one sister, Linda (Gerard Dube) of Sainte-Anne-de-Madawaska, as well as nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Geraldine and Anne.
Resting at O'Regan's Chapel, 83 St-Antoine Street, Saint-Leonard with visiting hours on Friday from 2 to 4 p.m.
A Liturgy of the Word Celebration will be held Friday, December 10th at 4 p.m. at O'Regan's Chapel with interment in the Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes Cemetery.
For those who wish, donations to the Alzheimer Society, the Canadian Cancer Society or the Foyer Notre-Dame Nursing Home would be appreciated by the family.
