CLAUDE M. DUBAY, VAN BUREN - Claude M Dubay, 82, died Dec 6 2001 at a Van Buren nursing home. He was born in Van Buren Feb. 11, 1919, the son of Cyril and Ozite (Violette) Dubay. He was employed in farming and woods industry for many years and also worked at the Beaver Brook Starch Factory for a number of years. He is survived by his wife Claire (Michaud) Dubay of Van Buren; seven sons, Clarence Dubay of Canaan, Conn.; James "Gene" and Michael Dubay both of Winsted, Conn.; Donald Clifford and Robert Dubay all of Bristol, Conn.; Claude Dubay Jr. of Van Buren; six daughters Claudette Deeves and husband Victor of Presque Isle, Bernadette ' Opthof and husband Ronald of Limestone, Barbara Pelletier and husband Robert of Wedgewood, Texas, Caroline Dubay of Mapleton, Suzanne Allen of Van Buren Patricia Cyr and husband Dr Joseph Cyr of Grand Falls, N.B. Canada; one sister, Jeannette Levesque of Frenchville; 29 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by four sons Norman Henry Camille and Gilbert Dubay and by a daughter Barbara Dubay Relatives and friends may call at the Ouellette-Thibault Funeral Home 1 2 High St Van Buren 7-9 pm on Saturday 2-4 and 7-9 pm Sunday and from 9 a m until time of service on Monday A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at the St Bruno-St Remi Catholic Church Interment will be in the parish cemetery Those who wish may contribute in his memory to the Borderview manor Memorial Fund 90 State St., Van Buren, 04785.
