He was a World War II U.S. Navy Veteran who proudly served in the Europeon and Pacific theaters. He was the founder of Lakeview Motors, Fort Kent. A member of Fort Kent Golf Club and a selectmen in Winterville Plantation. He was predeceased by sons, Michael, Norman and James. He is survived by brother, Reginald Violette of Glastonbury, Conn.; children, Carleen Collins, Mark Violette and Carol Bennett; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
