Donat E Violette 84 died March 14 1995 at a Van Buren nursing home. He was born in Van Buren Oct 21 1910 the son of Emile and Emma (Lapointe) Violette He was a self-employed operator of Don's Barber Shop in Van Buren for 38 years retiring in 1973. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council No 1635 serving as Grand Knight from 1956 to 1958 and a member of the Fourth Degree Assembly No 0349 serving as Faithful Navigator from 1962 to 1964. He is survived by his wife Jane (Doucette) Violette of Van Buren one son Larry Violette and his wife Louise of Caribou one doughter Caroline Ouellette of Van Buren one brother Gilbert Violette of Van Buren two sisters Anita LeBrun of Van Buren and Hilda Violette of Belmont Mass five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son Cary Violette in 1959 and by a son-in-law Ronald Ouellette in 1992 Relatives and friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 pm Friday at the Ouellette-Thibault Funeral Home 12 High St Van Buren and from 10 am until time of service on Saturday A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am Saturday with the Rev Joseph Chasse SM pastor celebrant Spring interment will be in parish cemetery Those who wish may contribute in his memory to the St Bruno - St Remi Parish Memorial Fund
