Jane A. Miner, 76, of Holden, peacefully passed away in her home on February 24, 2022. She was born March 1, 1945, in Lewiston to John Violette and Marguerite (Letendre) Violette.
Jane graduated from St. Dominic's Academy in 1963, as the first female valedictorian. She taught high school English and French in Eastport. But found her calling, working 32 years for the Department of Health and Human Services in Bangor.
In 1975 she married the love of her life, Thomas S. Miner Jr. and they had two children, Gary Anthony Miner and Mandy Lee (Miner) McFadden.
Jane exuberated love and kindness in everything she did and with everyone she met. She enjoyed traveling, camping, swimming, fishing and was an avid walker. She also enjoyed the fresh fruits, vegetables and flowers from Tom's gardens.
Jane was predeceased by her son, Gary Miner; and her parents. She is survived by her husband, Thomas Miner of Holden; daughter, Mandy McFadden of Boise ID; grandchildren, Gavon S. McFadden of Warrenton, OR, and Cayden and Dawson Miner of Glenburn; and her brothers, Robert Violette and John Violette of Lewiston and Ronald Violette of Raynhan, MA.
