    • Andy enlisted in the 7th Cavary Troop "B" at Fort Bliss Texas on May 5th, 1914. Fought in Mexico against Poncho Villa. He was discharged in 1918.

      He reenlisted on June 11th, 1919 at Fort Bliss and joined "Troop F" of the 7th Cavalry. Spent some time in the Philippines; then as the Cavalry became mechanized, he became a mechanic.

      He was honorably discharged as a Sargeant from Motor Transport Company # 52 on April 26th, 1921.

      He tried to reenlist in WWII but was too old.

      Did various jobs and later became a Customs Inspector in San Francisco and the San Francisco Airport. Took a leave from Customs to work at Bethlehem Steel building ships during WWII. After the war he returned to Customs. He retired in 1959 at age 63.
