1938-2010
At the Grand Falls General Hospital, October 3, 2010, Mrs. Cécile Violette of Saint-Leonard passed away at the age of 72. She was the wife of the late Sylvio Violette. Born at Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes in 1938, she was a daughter of the late Eddie and Almida (Gagnon) Desjardins.
She is survived by eight children, Jeannine (Camille Cyr) of Aroostook, Yvonne Violette, Monique (Léon Clavet) and Robert of Saint-Leonard, Jacqueline Ouellet (Alexandre Sabastien) of Moncton, Normand and Jeannot of Saint-Leonard and Gisèle Violette (Gérald Michaud) of Saint-Leonard-Parent, eight grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, four brothers and three sisters, René of Siegas, Armand of Edmundston, Sylvio of Saint-Jacques, Hermel of Saint John, Adrienne Levesque of Verret, Bernadette Bérubé of Grand Falls and Leola Fortin of Connecticut, as well as nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by an infant daughter, Nicole.
Her funeral service was held Wednesday, October 6th at 4 p.m. from the Saint-Leonard Roman Catholic Church, with Father Roland Poitras officiating. Interment was in the Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes Cemetery.
