  DOB, DOD: provided by Ron Violette and obit SHELTON - Madalene (White) Violette, 96, of Shelton, died Saturday, March 20, 2021, at Griffin Hospital in Derby. She was the widow of Donald Violette. Madalene was born in Topsham, Maine, August 26, 1924, daughter of the late Ralph and Eva (Allen) White. She served in the navy during WW II and was a member of Assembly of God Church. Madalene leaves three sons, Richard Violette of Waterbury, James Violette of North Carolina, Gary Violette of Windsor; a daughter, Cathy Anderson of Seymour; 11 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Madalene was predeceased by her son, Mark Violette. Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday morning in Mount Olivet Cemetery, 669 Platt Road. Walk-through calling hours will be held Friday evening 5-7 p.m. with a service at 7 p.m., at the Hickcox Funeral Home, 195 Main St., Watertown. Social distancing and masks are required.
