CARIBOU and VAN BUREN – Louise C. Violette, 58, died unexpectedly May 11, 2007, at her Caribou residence. She was born Sept. 7, 1948, in Van Buren, the daughter of Louis and Velma (Tilley) Dumais. Louise was a 1968 graduate of Van Buren District High School and attended Newbury School of Business, Boston. She worked as a medical receptionist and transcriber for various practices in the Caribou area for many years. She was selected as Maine Potato Blossom Queen in 1969 and was awarded Miss Maine Congeniality in 1969. She is survived by her husband, Larry Violette of Caribou; two sons, Eric Violette and his wife, Deidra, and Kurt Violette and his wife, Jennifer, all of Caribou; one brother, Philip “Skip” Dumais of Van Buren; one sister, Maureen Chick of Lisbon; four grandchildren, Danielle, Amanda, Jace and Ashley. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Gregory Dumais. Relatives and friends may call 9 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday at Ouellette-Thibault Funeral Home, 118 High St., Van Buren. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
