VAN BUREN – Carline A. Cyr, 62, died Oct. 17, 2007, at a Van Buren health care facility. She was born April 13, 1945, in Van Buren, the daughter of Hypolite and Josephine (Ayotte) Cyr. She was employed as a nutrition consultant aide for the Cooperative Extension Service for several years. She is survived by her husband, Leo James Cyr of Van Buren; one daughter, Susan St. Amand and her husband, Michael, of Strasburg, Va.; two sons, Michael Cyr and his wife, Lori, of Fort Kent, and John Cyr and his wife, Tammy, of Van Buren; two sisters, Cecile Herrin of Bennington, Vt., and Theresa Collins of Van Buren; three brothers, Leo Vaillancourt of Rutland, Vt., Gilman Cyr of Potsdam, N.Y., and Harold Cyr of Springfield, Vt.; four grandchildren, Elisha Cyr, Erin Cyr, Jonathan St. Amand and Jason St. Amand. In keeping with her wishes, there will be no calling hours. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23, at St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church. Interment will be at the parish cemetery. Those who wish may contribute in her memory to the Edgar J. (Guy) Paradis Cancer Fund, Northern Maine Medical Center, 143 East Main St., Fort Kent, ME 04743. Arrangements are a service of Ouellette-Thibault Funeral Home, 118 High St., Van Buren.
