      Payette—Homer “Mike” Violette passed away June 7, 2014 after a short illness. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, June 13th at the Church of the Nazarene, 1980 7th Ave. N, Payette. Cremation and services are under the direction of Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, Payette.

      Homer “Mike” was born in Van Buren, Maine, the son of George and Gladys Violette on Oct. 20, 1941. Homer was united in marriage on Feb. 14, 1986 to Phyllis Elaine Ricketts. Homer lived in Payette, Idaho and was a long haul trucker prior to retiring when he and his wife bought a small farm in Payette, Idaho.

      Homer “Mike” leaves behind his wife; two children, Rachel Ricketts and Scott Violette and their spouses; two step-sons, Mel Ricketts and Chris Ricketts (who he always loved as his own), and their spouses; grandchildren and great grandchildren; five sisters, Sylvia Violette, Theresa (Levasseur) Corbin, Bonnie Violette, Jeannette (Levasseur) Jones and Bernadette (Levasseur) Wilcox; as well as very special friends along Dutch Lane and other loving family members and friends. Besides his parents Homer was preceded in death by two sisters, his twin Homerine Walsh and Beatrice (Levasseur) Flaherty and three brothers, Francis, George and Fred Levasseur.
