Obituary: Washburn - Constance M. Nevers, 73, wife of the late Herman F. Nevers, died March 19, 2001, at a Caribou healthcare facility. She was born Oct. 18, 1927,
in St. Leonard, N.B., Canada, the daughter of John and Adele (Lavoie) Violette. She was a den mother and
very active with her husband in the Boy Scouts. During her illness Connie's inner strength, faith and uplifting
spirit saw her through the hard times. She is survived by a daughter, Carol Doughty of Washburn; twin
granddaughters, Erin and Erica Doughty; four brothers, Martin Violette of Plaster Rock, N.B., Gilbert Violette
of Edmundston, N.B., Gerald Violette of Greenwood, Nova Scotia, Eugene Violette of California; two sisters,
Armand "Vi" Violette of Exeter, N.H., Bernadette Page of Sioux St. Marie, Ontario. She will be remembered
by special friends, Alphonse and Corinne Levesque and their children, all of Caribou. In addition to her
husband, she was predeceased by a brother, Enoil Violette. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday
at the Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle with the Rev. Leopold Nicknair officiating.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until time of service. Spring interment will be in Crouseville Cemetery.
