      Georges LaPointe 1932-2012

      At the Grand Falls General Hospital, October 25, 2012, Mr. Georges X. LaPointe of Saint-Leonard passed away at the age of 79 years. Born in 1933, he was a son of the late Xavier and Rose-Anna (Cyr) LaPointe.

      He is survived by his sister, Bernadette Leclerc of Grand Falls, his twin sister, Georgette Castonguay of Bristol, CT, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters and brothers, Geraldine, Lorraine, Venolia, Gemma, Albeo and Fernand.

      Resting at O'Regan's Chapel, 83 Saint-Antoine Street, Saint-Leonard with visiting hours Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. Please note that there will be no visiting hours Sunday evening. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the Saint-Leonard Roman Catholic Church on Monday, October 29th at 4 p.m. followed by interment in the parish cemetery. For those who wish, donations to the Extra-Mural Hospital Program would be appreciated by the family.
